Cool Coastal Radar Picture!

Tuesday, October 4, 2011
2:40 P.M.

Forecasting-wise, there ain't much to talk about. The possible windstorm has gone completely out the window, and although we will see some rain overnight, it won't be too significant. After that, we will have a brief drying trend with seasonable temperatures before we see some rain again over the weekend.

I was looking at the radar this afternoon, however, and I saw some really cool shots offshore! Take a look at this ones below.

Langley Hill Radar, 10/4/11, 2:17 PDT

If you look closely, you can see a real intense squall line off of the coast! This shouldn't affect us, as most of the precipitation with this front is coming from a southerly direction, but it is very cool to see. We would have never been able to see this before.

I'm dying to see a Pineapple Express or some major flooding event on this radar. I'd get a real kick out of that!

I'll have a more thorough update on our weather situation soon, there isn't much to talk about today.
Have a good one!
Charlie
